Overdue Update

COVID Got Me

End of March, early April I had COVID. Two days of feeling like I was hit by a truck, then nearly two weeks of blowing my nose. I went through three boxes of Kleenex by myself.

Released from Urologist

I had a six month follow up visit with my urologist and my PSA is still undetectable. Since my PSA is undetectable, it means there is no obvious signs of cancer and I am cancer free. My urologist released me and said I still need to test my PSA annually as part of my yearly physical. I don’t need to see him again unless my PSA becomes detectable or develop some other issue.

Scary Symptoms – Trip to ER

I had an episode where I got lightheaded to the point I might fall out of my chair. I had some abdominal discomfort that began to get better after a trip to the bathroom. I was a couple of scary symptoms where I thought it could be a stroke or heart attack. I had my son take me to the ER. Thankfully, all bloodwork, EKG, and CAT scan showed no issues, so they sent me home.

Work has been very stressful, so I’m guessing it was that, plus some other things going on.

So far, no other scary symptoms.

Blood Glucose Under Control

I had a follow up visit in May with my regular doctor and my blood glucose is stable, but still high enough according to my A1C to be in the diabetic range. It had come down, but is up a tiny bit.

Keeping it under control requires eating less and finding the right activity level.

Conclusion

I’m doing well. Dealing fairly well with work stress, though I wouldn’t mind buying a non-defective lottery ticket so I could quit.
