First Bicycle Ride Since Surgery

I had some work done on my truck last week and over the weekend. I got a call that it was ready for me to go get it. And of course, pay my bill….

Since my son and daughter-in-law were not at home, I decided to ride my bicycle. It’s about 3 or 4 miles from where I live.

I had surgery August 21, 2020 and this is March 22. So it’s seven months since surgery.

I was in a hurry as I wasn’t sure how long it would take me and there are a couple of hills between here and there.

I made good time and was able to put my bike in the back of the truck to bring it home.

I was not uncomfortable to sit on the seat, other than the normal discomfort. For all the extra weight I have, I still have a bony butt.

It was a good workout and I was worn out.

I’ve got to build back up to 15+ mile rides.

If the weather holds, I’ll definitely get in some more rides. I’m NOT riding in the rain (at least not on purpose).
