I didn’t get to sleep until almost midnight, and was up once in the night. I had trouble waking up in time for work. My fitness watch shows I got seven hours and 42 minutes of sleep.
I had a productive day at work, but as always has a few things I wanted to wrap up but new issues coming up took my focus.
I can’t believe that tomorrow is four weeks since surgery, and that Monday will be a month (thirty days) since surgery.

Daily updates don’t see as much change any more, so after tomorrow, I will go with weekly or monthly updates. The bruise on my left arm is a very faded bruise, but still there. A daily update doesn’t make much sense. Incisions are still tender to the touch with a bump under the skin from internal stitches. The bumps are getting smaller, but not on a daily basis. The scabs aren’t changing much on a daily basis. I still have blood in my urine.
With all of these slowly changing things, I don’t see much sense in daily updates. I keep saying the same thing. It makes more sense to note when there is a milestone of note, like the end of urine in my blood, or the regaining of bladder control.
I’ll put some more effort into YouTube and record more videos.
Incision Opened
I took a shower after supper since I didn’t wake up early enough to get one before work. I don’t know if the scab came off during my shower or if it was loosened up so that when my granddaughter was on my lap getting tickled that her squirming knocked it off. I didn’t notice that the scab was gone until I was getting ready for bed. It almost looks like I need a stitch. I put some gauze on it and pulled tape tight. I need to see about some butterflies as that ought to hold it together. I take this as a sign that I’m not ready for mowing the yard just yet.
Thankfully, nothing seems to be bulging like I popped a stitch. I feel no discomfort, so it’s just part of having a scab fall off. This isn’t the biggest scab I’ve had come off, so it won’t be the gnarliest scar I have. That’s on the back of my left hand from my car accident 28 years ago. I’m sure in a week or two it will be fine.
