I was up twice in the night, but thankfully, I was able to get back to sleep. According to my exercise watch, I got eight hours and twenty-six minutes of sleep. That’s the most sleep in one night since my surgery. It’s been my enthusiasm and caffeine that’s got me this far. A few more nights of that much sleep, and I’ll really start to feel good.
Today was a mostly lazy day. I made some final preparations, then I ran the online D&D game at Noon.
I watched some YouTube videos and I did some very minor tidying of my home computer desk.
Having a relaxing quiet day is a nice return to almost normalcy.
I’m hoping for more nights with eight hours of sleep. That will really help! I dozed off in my desk chair, which isn’t great for my back or neck. More sleep for more energy to get through the day will be a big help.
I’m not ready for Monday morning, as I really like not having to work. I like my job, but sometimes there’s just too much of it. Last week was a good week. Busy enough to not be bored, yet not so busy on dealing with customer tickets that I could accomplish other things.
If my stress level and motivation both stay where they are, I’ll get a lot accomplished in the coming months.
Sticker shock time.
I added a new page for the cost of my surgery. Over half of the total cost is still pending with insurance.
Only pre-surgery labs, a pre-surgery visit, and the surgeon’s cost for the surgery are final. It is an amount that my HSA can easily cover.
Depending on how much the insurance pays towards the outstanding amount, I expect my HSA to be drained.
You can see the new page here.
