I didn’t sleep as well last night. I got up to go to the bathroom about 3:30 AM and had trouble getting back to sleep til nearly 5:00 AM. I then had trouble getting out of bed in time to get ready for work at 8:00 AM.
I slept wrong so my right shoulder and neck is a mess. I need to make an appointment with my chiropractor since I can’t turn my head without pain. I’d done really well, and thought I could wait another week, but I need to be able to move.
Three Weeks
Today is three weeks since my surgery. I’m doing well, other than my neck & shoulder, and I tweaked one of my incisions. My bruises are gone and my incisions continue to look better every day.
So one more week until I’m released to lift things over twenty pounds.
First Week Back To Work
My first week back to work has gone OK. I know my job really well, so I’ve not had anything too challenging. I got a bit frustrated with my mouse or PC a few times, but that’s normal. I am, however, glad it’s Friday.
Chiropractor
I got in to my chiropractor. It was uncomfortable laying on my stomach for him to check out my back, but it loosened up my back and he got my neck fixed. I’ll probably need another adjustment next week, but it’s so much better now!
Work Went Well
Being back to work for this four day work week following Labor Day went well. I knocked out several loose ends from before I took time off for surgery, and I’ve kept up with new things coming my way. This has done wonders for my stress level. I’m relaxed and able to take what comes. I hope to continue this attitude and outlook as long as possible.
Studio Upgrade
I ordered some LED light panels and a green screen to improve the quality of my videos. I will use them for my role playing videos, so it is not that big of a deal. I got the lights set up and figured out the positioning for the green screen. I got set up to record the second video for the companion YouTube channel for this blog.
The video will be about my diagnosis. In future videos I will discuss my decision for surgery, waiting for the surgery, the surgery and hospital stay, and recovery. I will also do videos for my quarterly PSA tests and discuss the results.
Other videos on topics of men’s health and fitness will also be created. If there’s a particular topic you’d like me to address, I’ll do my best. At the very least, it will be from my perspective.
I just published a new YouTube video about My Prostate Cancer Diagnosis.
