I didn’t get to bed til midnight, and got up to pee about 6:00 AM and couldn’t go back to sleep, so I got up about 7:00 AM.
The best part is that I am on track to have a new habit of getting up at 7:00 AM and being ready for my day in plenty of time.
Bruises
As predicted, my bruises are so faded I can only find them because I know where to look. If not totally gone tomorrow, they will be by Saturday.
Busy
Work was fairly slow Tuesday and Wednesday, but today was really busy. We have one person on vacation this week. Thankfully, I am getting through some back log of issues I didn’t get done before surgery. It is a great relief to get past these things.
Sticker Shock
I got the first quote for a new roof and it’s $17,750.00. I have some hail damage so I’ve reached out to my insurance agent. Hopefully, that kicks in and I’m not out that much.
I’m getting the first quote to take care of some trees near the house. I’m hoping that isn’t’ too bad. This quote is $3,500.00 for both trees and stump grinding. Yikes! Looks like I may need a home equity loan even with insurance for the roof….
Tired
I started to drag after lunch, but I’ve been doing OK. I know I’ll be ready for bed about 10:00 pm. Looking forward to the end of the week. I’m feeling a lot closer to myself.
Fading Tenderness
I can poke my belly away from my incisions and it doesn’t hurt. It is uncomfortable to bend over in a chair to tie my shoes, so I put my foot on a foot stool and problem solved. It’s cool and rainy today, so I wasn’t in the mood to walk. I’ve got to get past that, as I definitely need more walking.
Tomorrow marks three weeks since surgery! I can’t believe how fast time has flown. One more week, and I should be able to work my way back up to doing things. Not sure how soon I’ll be up to getting the lawn mowed in one go, but I should be able to do smaller sections at a time.
